Speaking in Code Screenshots

After a whirlwind of a fall at Director Amy Grill’s day job things are still progressing on the documentary and gaining momentum: earlier this fall the project brought an entertainment lawyer on board and, thanks to some keen accountant types, is almost finished with the latest version of the business plan.

Our brief, early sample clips have been well-recieved and our 220-hour archive is being combed over as we speak.

We’ve got a growing list of contacts who have expressed interest in Speaking in Code and we can’t wait to reach out to all of them to get them involved.

Google Video links are here, and there’s more here, but the filming is 95% complete. Now comes the fun part.

We’ve decided we can’t stream early clips, sorry to those who have asked.

We have, however, begun to take screenshots and throw them onto flickr. And we’ll keep adding them until we get tired.

This way you can see the incredible talent of our Director of Photography, the vision of the Director, and all the access our subjects would allow (thanks a lot everyone).

It’s great-looking stuff and — after 220 incredible hours become 90 minutes — it’ll be one of the best documentaries of the year.

We’ve been slacking a bit on the whole “MP3 Blog” part of this project, but here’s a real gem.

The Wighnomy Brothers are part of our project, and this New Year’s Eve they are celebrating somewhat of a rebirth at their hometown club in Jena, Germany. If you can’t be there, here’s the next best thing:

“Gamat 3000 - Feeling Love (Wighnomy’s Give Peace A Chance Remix)”

An early remix from the duo which kicks off their label’s CD compilation (which you can pick up here). They are one example of fascinating characters who fill our film.
