[...] Save the date: October 28 belongs to . . . Properazzi Don't even bother going to their MySpace page because there ain't no music there yet. But trust us on this: bonkers shit on the way. The Properazzi crew -- Red Foxxxworthy and that dude Mike Mistaker -- are making dreams come true. This is how they did it last weekend. Central Square, get ready for an invasion. Watch this space for details. +++ Unrelated notes: You should go over to David Day's site and download "Pumpdog" by Boston techno producer/Stylus editor Scarlet Smears. David's description -- "the Avalanches of party house" -- pretty much sums up the geniusness. Also, Boston dudes Rushya added us on MySpace and they are destroying the low-fi basement-thug game even though we can't download their shit. If someone knows these cats, tell them to get at us. Until then, will be ripping and streaming "Bosstown Standup" . . . Boston | Party | Rap 09/26/2006 22:20:03 by On the Download | Comments [0] | Trackback Related Posts:Exclusive: Jam Master Jay's mom beefs with DMC at BerkleeBen Orr is killing shit in BaltimoreWhat we did last week: Gossip, Erase Errata, Mates of State, Jose and Zero7Lupe Fiasco date Kicked, Pushed to NovemberCitrified: Lemon-Bananas at E-RoomMp3 of the week: Hope Conspiracy [...]

There is a bit of a Boston connection to the title "Pumpdog" - I was coming home on a cab one Friday night at 2 AM, and the driver was blasting a local radio station that was playing an all-night hyper trance mix. Every 5 minutes or so, this very deep, echoing male voice would announce "FRIDAY NIGHTS in Boston with deeeeeeejjaaaaaay PUMPDOG"
